Hemistich is an AI study companion for African tertiary students. It builds presentation slides you can download as a .pptx, runs sourced research with proper citations, finds scholarships worth applying for, summarizes and explains your notes, solves calculations step by step, and generates quizzes, mock exams, flashcards and infographics. It also calculates your GPA, plans your revision and holds your deadline reminders. Use it in your browser or install it to your home screen; it is the same account and the same credits either way.

No. Hemistich runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install from an app store. If you would rather have it on your home screen, open the app and choose Add to Home Screen. It then opens full screen, keeps working on a weak connection, and uses the same account.

You can start free with 100 H-Credits every month. Paid plans start at ₦1,600/month (Standard) and ₦4,000/month (Pro). You can also buy one-off credit packs from ₦700. See the pricing page for what each plan unlocks.

H-Credits are the in-app currency spent on AI work: a summary, a quiz, a slide deck and so on. Each tool shows its cost before you run it, and your balance sits in the top bar. If a generation fails after you were charged, the credits are refunded automatically.

Payments are processed securely through Flutterwave. You can pay with debit cards, bank transfer or USSD. Open Billing in the app, choose a plan or a credit pack, and you are handed a secure checkout page. We never see or store your card details.

Yes. The opportunity finder surfaces real scholarships, internships and grants matched to your field and region, and it is available on the Free plan. You can also paste any opportunity link and Hemistich will check it for common scam signals before you apply. Standard and Pro accounts get a fresh set pushed to their notifications and email twice a week, and it costs no credits.

Yes. Open Slides, give it a topic or your material, choose how many slides you want (3 to 30) and a colour theme, and you get a real .pptx file with speaker notes under each slide. It opens in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote, so you can edit every word. Slides are a Pro feature and cost 7 H-Credits per slide, so a 10-slide deck is 70. Decks stay in your history, and re-downloading one is free.

Yes, and it is now in the app. Open Infographic with a topic or your notes and Hemistich turns it into a branded visual study poster you can download and share. Infographics are a Pro feature and cost 100 H-Credits.

Summaries, explanations, notes, rewrite, solve, quizzes, GPA, the study planner, reminders and the scholarship finder all work on the Free plan. Standard adds flashcards and mock exams, scholarship alerts twice a week, unlimited reminders, a bigger Vault, larger uploads and no ads. Pro adds presentation slides, the advanced research assistant and the infographic generator, plus priority processing and better models where applicable. Flashcards and mock exams can each be tried once on the Free plan; the Pro tools have no trial, so you will be asked to upgrade rather than charged.

Check your connection and reload the app first. If an upload failed, make sure the file is within your plan's size limit (20MB Free, 30MB Standard, 50MB Pro) and is a PDF, document or image. Open the Referrals page in the app to get your invite link and code. When a coursemate signs up with it, you both receive 100 H-Credits. There is no limit, so the more people you invite, the more you earn.

You can cancel a subscription any time from the Billing page in the app. To request deletion of your account and data, follow the steps on our Data Deletion page.
