1. Your content
You retain ownership of the materials you send to Hemistich (your notes, documents, images, and text — "Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
2. Licence you grant us
To operate the service, you grant Hemistich a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the features you request (for example, summarizing a PDF or generating flashcards). This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for backups or where retention is required by law. We do not use Your Content to train third-party AI models.
3. Your responsibilities
- You confirm you have the right to upload Your Content and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- Do not upload copyrighted material you are not authorized to use. See our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. AI-generated outputs
Outputs Hemistich generates for you (summaries, explanations, quizzes, flashcards, plans, etc.) may be used freely for your personal, academic, and non-commercial purposes. Note that AI outputs may be similar to content generated for other users, and we make no claim of exclusive ownership over them on your behalf. Always review outputs for accuracy and originality before relying on or submitting them (see our AI Disclaimer).
5. Our intellectual property
The Hemistich name, logo, branding, website, software, design, and underlying code are owned by Hemistich and its founder and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from them, or use our branding, without our prior written permission.
6. Reporting infringement
If you believe content on Hemistich infringes your intellectual-property rights, email support@hemistich.com with a description of the work, the allegedly infringing material, and your contact details. We will review and act appropriately, including removing infringing content.
