Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This policy sets out what you may and may not do when using Hemistich. It applies to everyone who uses the service and forms part of our Terms of Use. We may update it as needed to keep the service safe.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not use Hemistich to create, request, upload, or distribute content that:

  • Is illegal under applicable law, or facilitates illegal activity (including fraud, scams, or circumventing exam/security controls);
  • Sexually exploits or endangers minors in any way;
  • Promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm, or harm to others;
  • Harasses, bullies, threatens, defames, or discriminates against any person or group;
  • Contains hate speech or incites hatred based on protected characteristics;
  • Provides instructions for weapons, dangerous substances, or other materials that could seriously harm people;
  • Infringes the intellectual-property or privacy rights of others, including uploading copyrighted material without permission;
  • Contains malware, or attempts to phish, deceive, or impersonate others.

3. Misuse of AI features

  • Do not attempt to bypass, jailbreak, or manipulate the assistant into ignoring its rules or revealing internal/system information.
  • Do not use Hemistich to generate disinformation, academic-dishonesty submissions presented as your own original work, or content designed to deceive.
  • Do not use the service to build a competing product by systematically extracting outputs, or to train other models.

4. Technical abuse and fair use

  • No automated scraping, bulk/automated messaging, or attempts to overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • No probing or breaching security, accessing other users' data, or interfering with infrastructure.
  • Usage limits and rate limits apply to keep the service fair for everyone; do not attempt to evade them.

5. Enforcement

If you breach this policy we may, at our discretion and without notice, remove content, throttle or restrict features, suspend or terminate your access, and where appropriate report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.
